Softball Celebrates Senior Day With Sweep of Saint Joseph's

ST. LOUIS, MO. – The No. 8 ranked University of Missouri-St. Louis softball team celebrated Senior Day on Saturday with a sweep of Saint Joseph's in Great Lakes Valley Conference play. The Tritons won both games in six innings, taking the opener, 8-0, and the nightcap, 9-1.

Seniors Hannah Perryman and Kelly McGovern were honored prior to the start and both played a key role in the victories. Perryman picked up both wins in the circle, limiting the Pumas to a combined five hits, while McGovern went 2-for-3 at the plate in the opener with an RBI.

UMSL improves to 43-4 overall, the fourth most wins in program history, and is now 21-3 in the GLVC. Saint Joseph's slips to 11-34 and 7-17 in the league.

The Tritons will host No. 1 ranked Indianapolis tomorrow in their regular season home finale. First pitch is set for 12 p.m.
