SETTING THE SCENE
UMSL continues a five-game homestand to close out the regular season this weekend, hosting Missouri S&T Thursday and Drury on Saturday. Thursday's contest against the Miners could play a factor in GLVC Tournament seeding as the two teams are knotted in a three-way tie for 10th place overall in the standings with three teams one game behind them.

The Tritons had their hands full last weekend in losses to No. 15 Southern Indiana (71-58) and No. 7 Bellarmine (73-56). Senior
Hunter Reine posted a double-double in each effort, bringing his season total to eight. He averaged 14 points and 13.5 rebounds per game
SIZING UP THE TRITONS
The Tritons are 10-15 overall, including 4-11 in the GLVC, where they sit in a three-way tie for fifth place in the West Division standings... UMSL is tied for 10th place overall in the standings and is looking to stay in the top 12 to earn a spot in the GLVC Tournament... the Tritons are 5-7 at home, including 1-5 in the GLVC... 12 different players have started at least one game, while nine different players have been the top scorer.
STATISTICALLY SPEAKING
Senior
Hunter Reine leads the Tritons with 11.3 points and 8.9 rebounds per game and is shooting 60.6 percent from the field, which ranks sixth on the single-season charts. He has eight double-doubles and has pulled down double digit rebounds 10 times, including in five of the last seven games.
In his career, Reine is shooting at a 59.1 percent clip from the floor, which ranks third all-time.
Junior
Steven Davis follows with 10.7 points per game. 81 percent of Davis' scoring comes from beyond the three-point line on a team-best 72 three-pointers, which ties the fourth most in an UMSL single season. He has made at least one three-pointer in all but three games and has nine games of four or more long balls, including two games of eight three-pointers (at Webster and vs. Truman State), one shy of the program single-game record. Junior
Elijah Watson adds 10.1 points and 3.2 assists per game.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
Missouri S&T is 10-12 overall, including 4-11 in the GLVC. The Miners are 1-7 in road games, including 1-6 in GLVC road games. Missouri S&T is coming off a 102-88 win over McKendree, marking the fourth time they've reached the 100-point plateau. The Miners average 78.7 points per game in league-only contests and 9.53 three-pointers made per game.
Drury enters a Thursday contest at Maryville with a 15-8 record, including an 8-7 mark in the GLVC. The Panthers are 1-6 in road games, including 1-5 in GLVC road games.
THE SERIES/EARLIER THIS SEASON
UMSL owns a 38-26 advantage in the series over Missouri S&T and earned a 91-74 win in Rolla on December 3. Senior
Alex Majewski scored a career-best 17 points as the Tritons handed the Miners their first loss of the year. The two teams split last year, each winning on the road by four points.
Drury leads the all-time series, 20-8, and has won the last eight meetings, including a 69-68 decision in Springfield, Mo., on December 1 in the GLVC opener as the then No. 15 ranked Panthers got two free throws from Tevin Foster with 9.8 seconds to play for the win.
