NIPTON, CALIF. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis women's golf team opened the spring portion of its schedule by turning in a 318 in the first round of the Las Vegas Desert Classic on Sunday, hosted by the Tritons.
 
UMSL enters tomorrow's final round of 18 in in first place place in the 14-team field with a six-stroke lead over second place Lee.
