NIPTON, CALIF. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis women's golf team earned a second place finish at its own Las Vegas Desert Classic, held Sunday and Monday.
 
The Tritons turned in a 613 (318-295), two strokes behind team champion Lee (324-287) in the 14-team field.
 
Individually, freshman 
Emma Thorngren placed second with her sixth top-five finish in as many tournaments this year. Thorngren was one of three Tritons to finish in the top five.
