FINDLAY, OHIO – The University of Missouri-St. Louis women's golf team saved its best round for last on Saturday, shooting a 307 to vault to an eighth place finish at the NCAA Division II National Championships.
 
The Tritons, making the program's first trip to nationals, finished with a team score of 1272 (
318-324-323-307), moving up three spots in the standings after entering the day in 11
th place.
 
Barry won the national championship with a 1222, edging Dallas Baptist by one stroke, while fellow GLVC member Indianapolis took third, 10 shots back.
 
Freshman 
Emma Thorngren was the top finisher for UMSL, tying for 22
nd place with a 314 (
79-78-79-78).
