CANTON, OHIO – The University of Missouri-St. Louis women's golf team turned in a 312 on Monday as the Tritons played the first of three rounds at the NCAA East Super Regional.
UMSL sits in fourth place in the 12-team field, four strokes out of third place. The top three teams, along with the top three individuals not with a team, will advance to the 2017 NCAA DII Women's Golf Championships May 17-20 at the Findlay Country Club in Findlay, Ohio.
Indianapolis turned in a 290 and is 10 strokes ahead of second place Grand Valley State (300), while Findlay shot a 308.
Individually, freshman
Emma Thorngren shot a 75, five shots out of the lead.
The second 18 holes will be played tomorrow with UMSL teeing off between 8:30-9:10 a.m.
