NORFOLK, VA. - The University of Missouri-St. Louis men's and women's swimming teams have both earned the distinction of Scholar All-America team for the Fall 2017, as announced by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America.

In all, 688 teams were named to the list, representing 430 institutions from across all NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA Divisions. To earn the honor, teams were required to post a GPA of 3.0 or higher for the fall semester. 

Additionally, UMSL's programs were among 17 institutions that earned Scholar All-America honors for the first time.

The women's team posted a cumulative GPA of 3.371, while the men recorded a 3.013.
