SPRINGFIELD, MO. - The No. 35 ranked University of Missouri-St. Louis women's tennis team advanced to the GLVC Tournament semifinals with a 5-3 win over Illinois Springfield on Friday in quarterfinal round action.

The Tritons will meet No. 28 ranked Bellarmine tomorrow at 1 p.m. The Knights defeated UMSL, 6-3, during the regular season.

In today's match, the Tritons took a 2-1 lead after doubles and took a 4-1 lead with wins at No. 2 (Marina Prediger) and No. 3 (Kristine Lindal) singles. The Prairie Stars then pulled within 4-3 with wins at Nos. 4 and 1 before a 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 6 by Janet Auclair sealed the match.

UMSL improves to 13-4 overall.
