Women's Golf Announces Two Additions to Roster

ST. LOUIS, MO. – University of Missouri-St. Louis Head Women's Golf Coach Troy Halterman has announced the addition of Sophie Faulkner (London, England) and Manon Labeur (Villeneuve-lès-Avignon, France) to join the Tritons program beginning in January 2020.

Faulkner joins the Tritons from Rollins College, where she played the last two seasons. As a sophomore during the 2018-19 season, she saw action in all 10 events, posting a 78.07 stroke average over 29 rounds. During her freshman campaign, Faulkner played in four events, recording a 79.70 stroke average.

"We are excited to add Sophie to our roster," Halterman said. "She brings a lot of college and international experience with her. We feel that she can make an immediate impact to our team this spring."

Labeur comes to UMSL from IUT of Nimes, where she placed third at the qualification of the French Team Championship. She also won the French International Foursome Cup in 2018 with Nimes teammate Alkyonie Aharidis and placed four times in the top 10 of Grand Prix Tournaments from 2016-17. Labeur also won the 2016 Grand Prix of La Grande Motte.

"Manon will bring a level of experience with her in January," Halterman said. "She has already been in college for 2 years and has played a very extensive tournament schedule while at school in France."

The women's golf team will open the spring portion of its schedule February 24-25 at the Battle at Hilton Head.
