SETTING THE SCENE

ABOUT MISSOURI S&T
- Missouri S&T enters a Thursday game at Lindenwood with a 5-3 overall record, including a 1-0 mark in the GLVC. All five wins have come at home.
- The Lady Miners were picked 14th in the GLVC Preseason Coaches Poll.
- Missouri S&T, which ranks third in the league with a scoring offense of 76.8 points per game, has five players averaging double figures, including senior Mykala Baylor (13.0 ppg, 11.5 rpg).

SERIES HISTORIES
UMSL is 14-10 all-time against Maryville, although the series is an even 11-11 since the Saints joined the GLVC in the 2009-10 season. The teams split the series last year, each winning at home, including a 61-59 UMSL victory and an 82-69 Maryville victory.

- After averaging just 6.67 points per game in the first three outings, junior Alex LaPorta has scored in double figures in the last six games, netting 11.83 points per game during that stretch.
