SPRINGFIELD, ILL. - The University of Missouri-St. Louis men's and women's cross country teams opened their seasons on Saturday at the GLVC East Divisional, hosted by Illinois Springfield.
The men were returning to the course for the first time since 1983, while the women were running for the first time in school history.
Freshman
Benjamin Vandenbrink was the top men's finisher, coming in 48
th in 27:49.59, while freshman
Kayley Heeter was the top female finisher in 26:12.38, also in 38yh place.
