The UMSL women's cross-country team placed fifth among nine teams at Friday's Border War Championships at Principia College.

The Tritons netted a team time of 1:58:59.63.

Lily Wagemann placed 16th 20:56.73) and Peyton Brueck took 28th (21:47.59).

Kayley Heeter was 35th (22:07.81) and Kennedy Moore placed 40th (23:10.56).

And Dominica Rooks was 62nd (30:56.94).

A total of nine teams and 63 runners competed.

Rounding out the top 5 were: Lindenwood, Drury, Missouri S&T, Lincoln and the Tritons.
