Head coach Tony Hernandez said the meet is an indicator of where the men and women are from a progression standpoint.

"This was our midseason meet. It serves as a check in to see how our training program has come together so far. We take a week to reduce some of the training load in hope to go faster times than previously in the year," he said. "Our performances put us in a very good position for the conference championship and national championship meet. We were able to break school records and achieve national standards in a handful of events."

Some of the aforementioned school records to which Hernandez was referring include the following:

Hauptmann 200 backstroke school record NCAA B Standard (2:02.77). Konstapel 100 (1:02.56) and 200 breaststroke (2:18.70) school record and National B Standard. School records in Women's 200 freestyle relay (1:36.77) and 200 medley relay (1:45.79). Jon Osa school record and NCAA B Standard 100 freestyle (44.49), 100 backstroke (47.92), and 200 backstroke (1:45.86). Conley Savage school record and NCAA B Standard 200 butterfly (1:50.03). Men's 400 medley (3:15.78) and 400 freestyle relay (2:59.51) school record and National Provisional Standard. Men's School Record in 200 medley relay (1:29.37) and 800 freestyle relay (6:42.82).
