Women's Basketball
The UMSL women's basketball team gets the action going this week as they visit Christian Brothers University, in Memphis, Tenn., at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 30.
This was a previously scheduled game that was postponed. The women have found a niche of late, ripping off six consecutive wins en route to their 7-1 record.
Alex LaPorta leads the Tritons with 15 points and 7 rebounds per game. Kiara Stewart has poured in 13 points and 7 rebounds per game.
Men's Basketball
The men's basketball team closes out 2021 with a home tilt at 1 p.m. Friday against Eureka College. This game marks the first home game for head coach
Bob Sundvold and his 8-2 Tritons since Nov. 14.
So far in the early going, Marty Jackson leads the team with 17 points and 6 rebounds per game. Jose Grubbs has added 13 points and 5 boards and Yaakema Rose is averaging 11 and 5.5.
Week in Review
The Tritons edged a tough Wisconsin-Parkside team last Monday, 75-68. The win was the lone game of the week for the Tritons basketball programs.
