Box Score 2 TOPEKA, KAN. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis softball team split its final two games on Sunday at the Washburn Invitational, earning a 4-3 win over Pitt State before falling to the host Ichabods, 5-1.
GAME 1: UMSL 4, Pitt State 3

UMSL tied the game at 2-2 in the sixth before crossing the plate twice in the seventh inning for a 4-2 advantage. Junior
Jessica Mrzlak drove in a run with a double, while an RBI fielder's choice from sophomore
Annie Scaramuzzi scored the other run.
The Gorillas got one run back in the bottom of the seventh, but the Tritons were able to strand the tying run at second base.
UMSL finished with seven hits, including four for extra base. Sophomore
McKenzie Lamos had two hits, including a triple.
Junior
Mimi Bradley earned the win in relief, working the final two innings.
