ST. LOUIS – University of Missouri-St. Louis Director of Athletics
Lori Flanagan has announced the hiring of
Megan Holdridge as the Tritons' Men's and Women's Tennis Head Coach. Holdridge comes to UMSL after spending last season at Lourdes University.
"We are excited to welcome Megan to the Triton family," said Flanagan. "The passion, drive and commitment she will bring both on and off the court will be a tremendous benefit to our tennis programs and its student-athletes."
Prior to her appointment at Lourdes, Holdridge served as assistant coach at Coker University. During her stay with the Cobras, the men began the year with a 6-1 record while the women were 5-4 in seasons that were cut short due to COVID-19.
"I am very thankful for this opportunity and am excited to get started with both programs," said Holdridge. "I look forward to building on the success of both the men's and women's teams, both on the court and in the classroom. UMSL Tennis has a strong tradition of excellence and I am thankful and blessed that the UMSL Administration has put their trust in me to continue that."
Before her stint at Coker, Holdridge served as a women's assistant coach at Hillsdale College for one season. The Chargers won the Great Midwest Athletic Conference championship during the 2018-19 season while she was on the sidelines and had three First Team All-GMAC and two Second Team All-GMAC selections.
The former Megan Miller played collegiate tennis at both Bowling Green State University and the University of Toledo. She began her career at Bowling Green where she played No. 1 singles and doubles for the Falcons as a freshman. She earned Mid-American Conference Player of the Week honors and recorded the most wins on the team. After transferring to Toledo prior to her sophomore season, Holdridge helped the Rockets advance to the MAC semifinals in 2018.
Holdridge earned her Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Toledo and her Masters of Science in College Athletic Administration from Coker.
