The UMSL women's golf team had to battle more than just stiff competition Monday at the Dallas Baptist University Classic.
While 19 teams competed at the Wildhorse Golf Club, the heat played a large factor, as the temperature reached nearly 100 degrees.
The Tritons battled the elements en route to a 14th place finish after Day 1 action, shooting a team 605.
Over the first two rounds,
Manon Labeur led the team with a 145 (tied for 10th place).
Victoria Klausner connected for a 152 (tied for 51st) and
Tove Brunell (tied for 56th) was one stroke behind with a 153.
Juliette Lecomte (tied for 67th) finished the day with a 156 and
Momo Kikuchi (tied for 78th) closed out with a 158.
The Tritons wrap up the tournament Tuesday.
