ST. LOUIS – The No. 13 University of Missouri-St. Louis women's golf team shot an opening round 296 (+8) and is in second place after the first day of the Fall Music City Invitational at Old Fort Golf Club in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
Tove Brunell is the overall leader after shooting a 69 to finish the day at three under par. She had four birdies in her round including two of the final three holes and holds a one-shot lead over Texas-Permian Basin's Anaya Perales and Walsh's Sydney Hugo heading into Tuesday's final round.
Wilma Zanderau shot a one under par 71 with four birdies and is tied for fourth with West Georgia's Ainsley Cowart.
Victoria Klausner shot a 76 to finish her round at four over par and is tied for 15th overall.
Juliette Lecomte shot an 80 while
Momo Kikuchi finished with an 81.
UT Permian Basin is the team leader after shooting a 293 (+5) and has a three-shot lead over the Tritons heading into the final round.
Tuesday's final round is scheduled to get underway at 9 a.m.
