CABOT, ARK. - The University of Missouri-St. Louis women's golf team finished round one in fourth place at the Natural State Golf Classic on Monday, Feb. 28. UMSL shot a 314 opening round. Rogers State University sits atop the leaderboard with a score of 301.
The Tritons are two strokes behind Arkansas Tech University who had a score of 312 in the first 18 holes of the classic. Harding University trails the Tritons by two strokes with a first round score of 316.
The University of Central Missouri sits in second place with a score of 306.
UMSL was led by
Victoria Klausner who shot a 75 to place fifth in the Tritons' first round this spring.
Tove Brunell shot a 78, tied with
Manon Labeur for 16th.
Juliette Lecomte scored an 83 and
Sophie Faulkner carded an 84 to round out the Triton five.
Linn Thornqvist shot a 72 as an individual to tie for first place.
Jenna Teeter scored a 77 as an individual to tie for 12th in the first round.
The Tritons will play one more round of 18 holes at the Natural State Golf Classic on Tuesday with tee times starting at 9 a.m.
