CABOT, ARK. - The University of Missouri-St. Louis women's golf team finished in fourth place at the Natural State Golf Classic on Tuesday. UMSL shot a two round final score of 628 strokes at Cypress Creek Golf Club.
Linn Thornqvist participated as an individual and finished atop the leaderboard with a two round score of 145 to claim the individual championship trophy. Rogers State University finished in first for teams with a score of 602 strokes.
Manon Labeur shot a 74 in the second round to finish with a final score of 152 to lead the Tritons. Labeur finished tied for sixth.
Victoria Klausner shot an 80 on the second day to score 155 overall.
Tove Brunell finished with a total score of 157 strokes after a second round 79.
Juliette Lecomte shot a second round 81 to finish with a final score of 164.
Sophie Faulkner scored an 88 in the second round to score 172 strokes overall.
Linn Thornqvist carded a 72 on day one and followed with a 73 in the second round to win the individual championship. Thornqvist sank an eagle on the par-4 sixth hole in the second round. The Gothenburg, Sweden native was three-under on par-4 holes for the tournament.
Jenna Teeter also competed as an individual and scored a 76 in the second round to finish with a total score of 153 strokes.
The University of Central Missouri finished second with 610 strokes in the two day tournament. Arkansas Tech University scored a 624 to finish four strokes ahead of the Tritons in third. UMSL finished with a final stroke total of 628, followed by Harding University in fifth place with a score of 630.
The Tritons will travel to Destin, Fla. for the Emerald Coast Classic on March 13 to March 15.
