DENTON, TEXAS – Tove Brunell finished as the runner-up and the Missouri-St. Louis women's golf team took eighth overall with a score of 876 (293-291-292) at the Dallas Baptist Women's Classic on Monday and Tuesday at Wildhorse Golf Club, Robson Ranch in Denton, Texas.
Brunell shot a 69 (-3) on Tuesday with two birdies and an eagle to finish with a final score of 206 (70-67-69) to finish at 10 under par for 54 holes. She had nine birdies and three eagles over the course of the two-day event.
Wilma Zanderau joined Brunell in the Top 10 as she finished in a three-way tie for sixth with a score of 211 (72-71-68). Zanderau finished four under par in Tuesday's final round with three birdies and an eagle on the par 5 12th hole. For the tournament she had 10 birdies and the eagle.
Juliette Lecomte turned in a score of 226 (74-73-79). She had six birdies over the course of two days.
Victoria Klausner shot a 235 (77-81-77) while
Momo Kikuchi finished with a score of 236 (78-80-78). Klausner finished with five birdies over the three rounds and Kikuchi had a total of three birdies in the event.
UMSL will be back out on the course on Monday and Tuesday (Oct. 3-4) at Findlay's Beall Classic at the Findlay Golf Club in Findlay, Ohio.
