ST. LOUIS – The University of Missouri-St. Louis volleyball team is ranked third for the second straight week in the latest AVCA/Taraflex Division II Top 25 poll that was released Monday afternoon.
The Tritons, 24-0, 9-0 GLVC, received 1,075 total points adjusted, up 10 from last week, and still received two first-place votes. Wayne State (Neb.) continues to hold the top spot with 1,166 total points and 41 first-place votes while Tampa is second with 1,125 points and received the other four first-place votes. Concordia-St. Paul and West Texas A&M round out the top five.
UMSL is one of four Great Lakes Valley Conference teams ranked in this week's poll. Lewis stayed at 13, Quincy moved up to 20 and Rockhurst moved remained at 24.
The GLVC has the second most teams ranked in this week's poll behind the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference with five.
The Tritons are back at home this weekend hosting Illinois Springfield and No. 20 Quincy to wrap up its regular season home schedule.
