Cyril Henault and sophomore
Leo Baudry of the University of Missouri-St. Louis men's golf team are in the top 10 after day one of the Midwest Regional at the Country Club at St. Albans on Monday. Henault is tied for second while Baudry is tied for seventh.
Play was suspended due to darkness with five groups on the course when the round was halted.
Henault turned in back-to-back rounds of 72 (144) and is tied with William Jewell's Bryson Oots heading into Tuesday's final round. They trail Tiffin's Johan Widal by five shots. Widal shot an opening round 67 and followed it with a 72.
Baudry shot an even par 72 in the morning round and had a 74 in the afternoon session to finish with a score of 146.
As a team, the Tritons sit in fourth place in the 18-team field with a score of 598 (298-300). UMSL's second team in the field is tied for 16th with a score of 624 (319-305).
Tiffin sits atop the leader board with a score of 575 (292-283) and still has two players left to finish their round. The Dragons hold a nine-shot lead over William Jewell heading into tomorrow's final round.
