ST. LOUIS – The University of Missouri-St. Louis softball team gets its 2023 season underway this weekend as it heads to Kansas for the Emporia 5-State Classic. The dates and locations of this weekend's games have been altered due to weather.
The start of the tournament has been pushed back a day and will now start on Saturday. The Tritons will take on Newman in their season opener at 10 a.m. on Saturday at Washburn University's Gahnstrom Field in Topeka, Kan., and then immediately following will play Concordia-St. Paul at 12:15 p.m.
On Sunday, the Tritons square off against Minnesota Duluth at 10 a.m. at Gahnstrom Field and then face Sioux Falls at 12:15 p.m. UMSL concludes the Classic on Monday with a rematch against Concordia-St. Paul at 10 a.m. at Emporia State's Turnbull Field in Emporia and then will take on the host Hornets at 2:30 p.m.
