INDIANAPOLIS – The No. 19 University of Missouri-St. Louis women's golf team finished ninth with a three-day score of 930 (318-303-309) at the Emerald Coast Classic at Baytowne Golf Club in Destin, Fla.
Tove Brunell came in fourth for the Tritons finishing with a 54-hole score of 220 (74-72-74) and was named to the All-Tournament team. Brunell was second in the field with eight birdies over the three-day tournament.
Wilma Zanderau was tied for 43rd with a score of 236 (82-77-77),
Victoria Klausner finished in a tie for 49th at 237 (82-77-78) while
Momo Kikuchi was tied for 52nd with a score of 238 (81-77-80).
Juliette Lecomte also competed but withdrew midway through the final round.
Henderson State's Gracen Blount was the individual medalist finishing with an even par score of 213 (71-74-68). She was joined on the All-Tournament team by Flagler's Stella Jelinkek at 217 (73-74-70), HSU's Lily Nelson at 219 (72-72-75), Brunell and Arkansas-Fort Smith's Sidney Stramel and Central Oklahoma's Mika Ramos were tied for fifth at 222. Stramel shot rounds of 79-71-72 while Ramos finished with rounds of 73-74-75.
The Reddies won the team title with a final score of 880 (295-294-291).
UMSL will be back in action next Monday and Tuesday competing in the University of Findlay Spring Invitational at Big Blue Golf Club in Lexington, Ky.
