ST. LOUIS – The No. 22 University of Missouri-St. Louis women's golf team is in fourth place after the first day of the Findlay Spring Invite at the University Club of Kentucky in Lexington, Ky. The Tritons shot a score of 305 in the first round and were +11 when play was suspended due to darkness after the 11th hole.
Tove Brunell is leading the way for UMSL as she sits in a three-way tie for third on the individual leaderboard with a score of +2. She shot a 71 in the opening round and held the lead after 18 holes.
Wilma Zanderau is tied for sixth and is a shot behind Brunell.
Victoria Klausner is tied for 28th at +11 while
Juliette Lecomte and
Momo Kikuchi have scores of +14 and +18 respectively.
Tiffin's Lisa Marie Schumacher is the individual leader at -3 through 29 holes of play while Findlay is the team leader at +11 overall.
Play resumes in the Findlay Spring Invite on Tuesday morning with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. (CDT). Round three will get underway shortly after the completion of the second round.
