BOULDER CITY, Nev. – The 18th ranked University of Missouri-St. Louis men's golf team finished third with a score of 876 (303-287-286) while its second team finished 13th at 915 (303-305-307) at the Las Vegas Desert Classic at Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder City, Nev., on Tuesday.
The Tritons first team in the field was led by
Joel Sylven who finished as runner-up with a 54-hole score of 207 (73-66-68).
Juan Antonio Padilla finished in a tie for 24th at 224 (72-74-78) while
Leo Baudry was tied for 28th with a score of 225 (77-77-71).
Cyril Henault and
Zach Unnerstall finished at 228 (81-73-74) and 232 (85-74-73) respectively.
UMSL's second team in the field was led by
Ian McCrary who was tied for 22nd at 223 (69-77-77),
Nick Hedberg finished tied with Baudry at 225 (79-75-71).
Brandon DiMemmo turned in a score of 236 (81-77-78) while
Rob Hogan and
Andres Aguirre had scores of 237 (80-76-81) and 246 (75-83-88) respectively.
Lee University's Beck Burnette won medalist honors finishing with a 54-hole score of 204 (72-63-69) while Colorado Christian took home the team title with a three-day score of 870 (299-284-287).
The Tritons return to action on Monday, March 28, as they travel to Lenoir City, Tenn., for the Tennessee River Rumble hosted by Lincoln Memorial University.
