ST. LOUIS – The University of Missouri-St. Louis women's golf team is in third place with a score of 625 (303-322) after the first day of the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women's Golf Championships at Paradise Pointe Golf Course in Smithville, Mo.
The Tritons are a shot behind Drury for second place and have an 11-shot lead over Maryville who's in fifth place heading into the final round of stroke play on Saturday. The top four teams in the final standings advance to the medal/match play championships on Sunday.
Tove Brunell leads the way for UMSL as she's tied for third with a score of 151 (73-78) while
Wilma Zanderau is two shots behind Brunell in a tie for seventh with a 153 (72-81).
Victoria Klausner is tied for 14th at 155 (79-76) while
Juliette Lecomte and
Momo Kikuchi shot 167 and 171 respectively. Lecomte had rounds of 79 and 88 and Kikcuhi shot an 84 and an 87.
UIndy's Katelyn Skinner is the individual leader through 36 holes with a score of 145 (70-75). The Greyhounds posted a team score of 597 (280-308) and are inline to receive the number one seed for the medal/match play championships.
