EUREKA, Mo. – The No. 25 University of Missouri-St. Louis women's golf team opened play at the NCAA DII Championship on Tuesday by shooting a 306, putting them in 14th place with 36 holes to play at Fox Run Golf Club in Eureka, Mo.
All 18 teams and eight individuals will complete 54 holes of stroke play after which an individual national champion will be declared. The top eight teams after 54 holes of play advance to medal/match play with the quarterfinals and semifinals being played on Friday and the national championship on Saturday.
UMSL was paced by
Tove Brunell who shot 71 (-1) and is tied for sixth while
Wilma Zanderau finished with a 74 (+2) and is tied for 23rd.
The Tritons begin teeing off in their second round on Wednesday at 9:40 a.m.
