LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Live in Lou Classic on Saturday at Tom Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Ky. The men finished 15th with 475 points in the Blue Race while the women were 14th with 494 points in the Silver Race.
The Triton men were led by
Benjamin VandenBrink who finished second in the 8-kilometer race with a time of 24:24.4 while
Jacob Warner finished 15th at 25:04.7.
Toby Middleton came in at 26:24.1,
Matthias Shelp touched the line at 26:37.1,
Jonny Key finished with a time of 26:42.2,
Sam Savastino came in at 26:52.2 and
Julio Cruz Jr. had a time of 27:27.8.
The Triton women were led by
Kayley Heeter and
Lily Wagemann who finished the 5-kilometer race in 14th and 20th place respectively. Heeter crossed the line at 19:21.1 while Wagemann finished at 19:28.7.
Bella Massaro finished 60th with a time of 20:11.4,
Megan McMillen had a time of 21:40.1,
Ansley Casey touched the line at 23:05.9,
Ella Tynan finished at 23:24.1 and
Zoey Losch had a time of 26:28.0.
UMSL is back in action next Saturday (Oct. 7) hosting the Brian T. Simpson Invitational at Gans Creek Cross Country Course in Columbia, Mo. The men's race begins at 9:20 a.m. followed by the women's race at 10 a.m.
