BOULDER CITY, Nev. – The No. 16 University of Missouri-St. Louis women's golf team finished sixth out of 14 teams with a 54-hole total team score of 856 (277-285-294) at the National Preview at Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder City, Nev.
The score of 856 is the lowest score for 54 holes in school history breaking the previous mark by 20 strokes.
Senior
Juliette Lecomte shot a 72 in her final round on Tuesday to finish in a tie for sixth with a score of 208 (67-69-72). Her score of 208 is the second lowest in school history for 54 holes.
Junior
Wilma Zanderau had a score of 73 to finish with a 54-hole total of 212 (68-71-73) which is fifth lowest in school history to finish in a tie for 14th in the event. Freshman
Mayan Covarrubias finished with an even par score of 216 (70-74-72) and was tied for 25th overall. Freshman
Emmy Wahl and sophomore
Hillary Currier had scores of 222 (72-72-78) and 225 (75-73-77) respectively. Freshman
Hope Williams, competing as an individual, shot a 73 in her final round to finish at 232 (78-81-73).
Texas-Tyler's Arnie Taguines was the individual medalist with a 54-hole score of 200 (70-64-66) and Cal State San Marcos won the team championship by one stroke over Dallas Baptist with a total team score of 830 (279-270-281).
The Tritons wrap up their fall schedule with a trip to Hawaii Oct. 21-26 where they'll compete at the Dennis Rose Intercollegiate and the Hawaii Pacific Shark Shootout.
