ST. LOUIS – The University of Missouri-St. Louis women's golf team finished the first day of the Emerald Coast Collegiate in a tie for sixth place with an 18-hole score of 309 on Sunday at the Baytowne Golf Club in Destin, Fla.
Junior
Juliette Lecomte led the way for the Tritons with a score of 74 and is in a three-way tie for 12th heading into Monday's second round. Sophomore
Wilma Zanderau shot a 77 and is tied for 30th.
St. Mary's (Texas) Rebecca Reed sits atop the leader board with a score of 69. Central Missouri's Claire Solovic hit a hole in one on the par 3 14th hole using an eight iron from 135 yards out. Flagler College is the team leader after day one with a score of 290 and has a seven-shot lead over UCM heading into day two on Monday.
Monday's second round tees off at 8 a.m. (CDT).
