ST. LOUIS – The University of Missouri-St. Louis women's golf team moved up a spot to fifth after posting a score of 297 in Monday's second round at the Emerald Coast Classic at Baytowne Golf Club in Destin, Fla. The Tritons have a total score of 606 (309-297) heading into Tuesday's final round.
UMSL has two players in the top 10 on the leaderboard as junior
Juliette Lecomte is tied for sixth with a score of 145 (74-71) after shooting even par in Monday's round while sophomore
Wilma Zanderau is tied for 10th at 147 (77-70). She shot the low round of the day for the Tritons finishing at one under and had four birdies in her round.
Flagler's Stella Jelinek sits atop the leader board with a score of 137 (71-66) and is three shots ahead of St. Mary's Rebecca Reed heading into Tuesday. Flagler continues to lead the field with a 36-hole total score of 574 (290-284) and are 20 shots ahead of Central Missouri and Texas-Permian Basin.
Tuesday's final round is scheduled to get underway at 9 a.m. (CDT).
