ST. LOUIS – The University of Missouri-St. Louis women's golf team is in fourth place after the first day of the Findlay Spring Invite at Boone Trace National Golf Club in Richmond, Ky. The Tritons finished with a first-round score of 311 and were one over par through nine holes in round two when play was suspended due to darkness.
Fifth-year senior
Ebba Wernered is leading the way for UMSL with a score of 111 through 27 holes and is in eighth place. She shot an even par 72 in round one and was at 39 when play was halted. Sophomore
Wilma Zanderau is tied for 10th at 113 (81-32) through 27 holes.
Findlay's Mary Kelly Mulcahy sits atop the individual leader board at -2 and has a one-shot lead over Anderson's Kennedy McGaha, UIndy's Jess Haines and Findlay's Gabby Woods. The Oilers are the team leader after day one with a score of 459 (298-161) and have a one-shot lead over Anderson heading into the final day on Tuesday.
Play will resume at 9:30 a.m. (CDT) with the conclusion of round two and will role into the start of the final round.
