ORLANDO – University of Missouri-St. Louis sophomore
Wilma Zanderau shot a 70 in her second round at the NCAA DII Women's Golf Championship on Wednesday at Orange County National – Panther Lake Course.
She enters tomorrow's final round tied for 13th place with a 36-hole score of 143.
Zanderau opened her round with four straight pars before a bogey on the par four fifth hole. She moved back to even par with a birdie on the par five seventh but gave that shot back with a bogey on the par four ninth hole and had a score of 37 at the turn.
Zanderau birdied three of the first four holes on the back nine to move to two-under through 13. She dropped a shot on the par four 16th hole but sank a birdie putt on the par three 17th to get back to two-under for the day. Zanderau finished her round with a par putt on the par five 18th hole.
Findlay's Gabby Woods and Cal State San Marcos's Madison Murr are tied for first at six-under par.
Zanderau is scheduled to tee off at 7:50 a.m. (EDT) on Thursday.
