Zanderau Finishes Tied for 10th at NCAA Division II Championships

ORLANDO, Fla. – University of Missouri-St. Louis sophomore women's golfer Wilma Zanderau finished in a tie for 10th in a field of 95 golfers with a 54-hole score of 214 (73-70-71) at the NCAA Division II Women's Golf Championships on Thursday at Orange County National's Panther Lake Course.

She began the final round on Thursday with six straight par putts then picked up back-to-back birdies on seven and eight to move to three-under par for the tournament. Zanderau bogied three of the next four holes to drop to one-over par but finished with birdies on 13 and 17 to finish her round with a one-under par 71 and to finish the tournament with an overall score of two-under par.

It's her second consecutive top 10 finish at the national championships. She finished in a tie for fourth in last season's championships at Fox Run Golf Club with a score of 215 (-1). Zanderau now holds two of the three highest finishes at the championships in program history.

She is guaranteed All-America honors for the second straight year with her top-10 finish.

Findlay's Gabby Woods earned the individual national title, finishing nine-under par (207), one stroke ahead of Dallas Baptist's Olivia Mitchell.
