ST. LOUIS – The University of Missouri-St. Louis women's golf is tied for fifth place with a team score of 317 after the opening round of the NCAA East Regional on Monday at Prairie View Golf Club in Carmel, Ind.
The Tritons are tied with Grand Valley State and trail fourth place Davenport by two strokes.
Wilma Zanderau led the way for UMSL shooting a 76 with three birdies in her final six holes and is tied for 11th overall at four over par.
Ebba Wernered is tied for 20th finishing her round with a 77 and
Juliette Lecomte is tied for 36th win an 80.
Saginaw Valley State's Brook Herbstreit is the individual leader after the first day finishing with a score of 70 and has a two-shot lead over Davenport's Hannah Meloche and Drury's Taryn Overstreet. Findlay has a one-shot lead over UIndy atop the team leaderboard.
The NCAA East Regional continues Tuesday with the second round starting at 8:30 a.m. (CDT). The Tritons tee off starting at 9:15 a.m. (CDT) on Hole No. 10.
