ST. LOUIS – The University of Missouri-St. Louis is in third place with a total team score of 555 (281-274) after the first day of the UIndy Fall Invitational at Broadmoor Country Club in Indianapolis.
The 274 shot in Monday's second round ties the school record for the lowest team score in a round matching the 274 shot in the second round of the Arch Cup in 2022 while the score of 555 is the second lowest team score through 36 holes in school history.
Sophomore
Dani Solavera led the way shooting a 134 on the day and sits in second place at -10. He shot a 64 in the opening round and followed it with a 70 in round two. His first-round score is tied for third lowest for 18 holes in school history while his score of 134 ties UMSL Sports Hall of Famer Markus Lindberg for the lowest for 36 holes in school history.
The Tritons had three players finish with scores in the 60s in the second round led by freshman
Trigg Lindahl who shot a 67 while freshman
Logan Mayo shot a 69 and junior
Leo Baudry turned in a 68.
Mayo and Lindahl are tied for 13th overall with a score of 140 while Baudry is tied for 18th at 141.
Ashland's Matthew McMullen sits atop the individual leaderboard with a score of 136 (66-66) and is two shots ahead of Solavera heading into Tuesday's final round. Missouri S&T is the team leader with a 36-hole total score of 553 (275-278).
Tuesday's final round is scheduled to tee off at 8 a.m. (CDT).
