No. 22 Men’s Golf In Second Place After First Day Of Doc Spragg Invitational

ST. LOUIS – After a slow start to the day the No. 22 University of Missouri-St. Louis men's golf team finished strong shooting 276 (-12) in the second round to move into second place overall with a total team score of 569 (293-276) after the first day of the Doc Spragg Invitational hosted by the University of Findlay at the Findlay Country Club in Findlay, Ohio.

Logan Mayo led the way for the Tritons shooting a 140 (69-71) and is tied for second place while Trigg Lindahl is a shot behind Mayo at 141. Lindahl shot 75 in the morning round but rebounded to shoot a 66 in the afternoon session. His 66 in the second round is tied for ninth lowest in a round in school history.

Leo Baudry and Benjamin Berger, competing as an individual, are tied for 15th at 143. Baudry turned in rounds of 75-68 while Berger had rounds of 74 and 69. Ludvig Granlund shot 145 (74-71) and is tied for 27th while Dani Solavera finished his day with a score of 149 (75-74).

Hillsdale's Robert Thompson is the individual leader with a 36-hole score of 138 (72-66) and holds a two-shot lead over Mayo and Tiffin's Daniel Aitken heading into Tuesday's final round. Findlay holds the team lead with a total team score of 566 (285-281) and holds a three shot lead over UMSL.

The final round of the Doc Spragg Invitational tees off at 8 a.m. (CDT) at the Findlay Country Club.
