ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis men's and women's cross country teams competed in the Great Lakes Valley Conference championship meet at the Lewis Cross Country Course in Romeoville, Ill., on Saturday morning. The Triton men finished with a total of 216 points while the women came in 12th with 363 points.
On the men's side,
Will Kaempfe was the team's top runner covering the eight-kilometer course in a personal best time of 24:29.76 to finish seventh overall and earn All-GLVC honors.
Clement Mayo finished 44th at 25:57.84 and
Luke Stevenson was 50th in a time of 26:11.87.
Devon Fanning finished a spot behind Stevenson crossing the line at 26:16.
Aaron Guss and
Armando Montoya rounded out the field for the Tritons coming home at 26:55.56 and 28:26.90 respectively.
In the women's race,
Bridget Ragan led the way finishing 60th overall while covering the six-kilometer course in a time of 25:06.63. She was followed by
Bella Massaro and
Hannah Richardson who finished with times of 25:47.52 and 26:54.34 respectively.
Dylan Jinks and
Zoey Losch rounded out the field for UMSL coming in at 31:02.39 and 33:03.75.
The Tritons return to the course in two weeks as they'll compete at the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional at the Wayne E. Dannehl National Cross Country Course in Kenosha, Wis., on Saturday (Nov. 8) at 10 a.m.
