ST. LOUIS – The University of Missouri-St. Louis men's and women's swimming teams split its dual against Rockhurst on Friday afternoon at the UMSL Swimming Pool.
The Triton women rolled to a 140-65 victory while the UMSL fell to the Hawks 105-100.
On the women's side, the Tritons won nine of the 11 events contested with 
Justice Beard leading the way with victories in the 1,000-yard and 500-yard freestyle races. Beard finished with a time of 10:28.18 in the 1,000 and 5:03.95 in the 500.
Libby Smith was the winner in the 200 free at 1:59.77, 
Audrey Lantz, 
Romina Itzkovich and 
Madison Bottorff went 1-2-3 in the 50 free. Lantz had the top time at 24.77 followed by Itzkovich at 25.20 and Bottorff at 25.27.
Callie Clinton took the top spot in the 100 fly with a time of 1:00.49, Lantz won her second event of the meet with a win in the 100 free at 54.21. She was followed by Bottorff at 55.64. 
Aeri La won the 100 back in a time of 59.57 edging out 
Ella Lantz by almost half a second.
UMSL's 400-yard medley relay of E. Lantz, 
Stella Garrison, A. Lantz and Beard took top honors with a time of 3:57.49. The Triton 400 free relay quartet of Itzkovich, Bottorff, E. Lantz and La turned in a top time of 3:41.42.
For the men, UMSL won five of the 11 events in the dual. 
Mikael Larsson was victorious in the 1,000 and 500 freestyle races. He had a time of 10:03.35 in the 1,000 and 4:40.85 in the 500.
Lathan Parks and 
Gabriel Wells finished first and second in the 50 free with times of 21.65 and 21.74 seconds respectively. 
Kaleb Suitor won the 100 fly in 51.61 seconds and the Tritons 400 free relay squad of 
Mattia Nardi, Parks, 
Gentry Comstock and Larsson
 won by nearly a second at 3:09.91.
The Tritons return to the pool on Saturday (Nov. 8) as they travel to Kirksville, Mo., to swim against Truman State in a dual meet starting at 1 p.m. from Pershing Natatorium.
