ST. LOUIS – The University of Missouri-St. Louis men's basketball team hosts University Health Sciences and Pharmacy in its home opener this Friday evening at the Mark Twain Building. Friday's contest is the first of three straight at home for UMSL.
The Tritons enter Friday evening's contest with a record of 2-2 on the season and have won two straight while the Eutectics are 2-6 on the season after falling at Oakland City 93-64. Friday's contest will be an exhibition contest for UHSP.
UMSL picked up a pair of neutral site wins last weekend, defeating No. 13 Michigan Tech 78-57 last Friday and then handed Northern Michigan an 80-67 defeat on Saturday afternoon.
Taye Moore led the team in scoring, averaging 24.5 points per outing.
The Tritons are averaging 75 points per game while allowing 69.3 per outing. They're shooting over 50 percent from the field and almost 42 percent from three and have outrebounded its opponents by nine rebounds per game.
UMSL has four players averaging double figures in scoring led by Moore at nearly 20 points per game.

Makeer Makeer are contributing 11.5, 11.3 and 11.0 points per contest respectively.
Vincent Davis III is averaging nearly seven rebounds per game while Phillips is pulling down 6.5 per outing. Freshman
Miles Boland leads the team with 18 assists and 10 steals.
The Eutectics are led in scoring by Landon Engelage with 16.5 ppg. He is joined in double figures by Justin Coleman at 14.6 points per contest while Jasmin Suvalija and Bryant Odunayo are contributing 11.1 and 10.9 points per outing respectively.
