INDIANAPOLIS – University of Missouri-St. Louis sophomore swimmer
Justice Beard swam in the preliminary round on day three of the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis on Thursday morning. The top 16 swimmers from prelims advance to the finals in the evening session.
Beard raced in the women's 200-yard freestyle in lane seven of the fourth heat. She finished with a time of 1:52.04 to place 37th in the prelims.
UMSL returns to the pool on Friday for the fourth day of the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships and will have Beard swimming in the 500 freestyle,
Ella Lantz in the 100 backstroke and the 200 free relay team of
Kate Nelson, Romina Itzkovich, Madison Bottorff and
Audrey Lantz will swim tomorrow evening. Prelims for the morning event start at 9 a.m. (CDT) with the finals scheduled to start at 4:30 p.m. (CDT).
