INDIANAPOLIS – The University of Missouri-St. Louis women's swimming team earned multiple All-America honors on Friday at the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis.
Justice Beard swam out of lane five in the fourth heat of the 500 freestyle in the morning preliminary race and finished with the second fastest time in the prelims of 4:50.01 which was nearly 0.5 faster than her record setting performance at last month's Great Lakes Valley Conference Championship meet to qualify for the evening final.
In the final, she again swam out of lane five and finished fifth overall with a time of 4:50.40 to earn her second first team All-America honor at this year's championship and her fourth in her career.
Ella Lantz swam in the morning prelims of the 100 back and finished 31st overall with a time of 56.16 seconds but didn't qualify for the finals.

Kate Nelson,
Madison Bottorff and
Romina Itzkovich received honorable mention All-America honors with their 14th place finish as they broke the school record with a time of 1:33.09 in the event. A. Lantz sat a school record in the 50 free with her split of 23.02 seconds.
The Tritons return to the pool for the final day of the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships on Saturday. Beard will swim in the 1650 freestyle, E. Lantz will swim in the prelims of the 200 back and the 400-yard free relay team of A. Lantz, E. Lantz, Beard and Nelson will swim in the evening session.
