ST. LOUIS – The No. 20 University of Missouri-St. Louis women's golf is in first place with a team score of 580 (288-292) after the first two rounds of the UMSL Spring Invitational on Sunday at Norwood Hills Country Club in St. Louis.
The Tritons have three players in the top five on the individual leaderboard heading into Monday's final round.
Emmy Wahl is second with a 36-hole score of 142 (70-72),
Wilma Zanderau shot a 143 (70-73) and is tied for third with Tiffin's Lisa Marie Schumacher while
Mayan Covarrubias finished with a first day score of 144 (73-71) and is tied for fifth with Illinois Springfield's Elaine Grant.
Hillary Currier and
Brooke Inchiostro, competing as an individual, are both tied for 14th with a score of 152. Currier carded rounds of 75 and 77 while Inchiostro shot a 79 in the first round and followed it up with a 74 in the afternoon round.
Juliette Lecomte is tied for 22nd at 155 (79-76).
UIndy's Ava Ray holds a one-shot lead over Wahl after shooting a 141 (73-68) on Sunday. UMSL holds a 12-shot lead over the Greyhounds for the team title heading into Monday's final round.
Action gets underway on Monday at 9:30 a.m. at Norwood Hills Country Club.
