ST. LOUIS – The University of Missouri-St. Louis men's golf team is tied for eighth with a total team score of 296 (+12) after the first day of the NCAA Central/Midwest Regional at the St. Joseph Country Club in St. Joseph, Mo.
Leo Baudry leads the way for the Tritons and is tied for third overall after shooting a 70 (-1) in his opening round.
Benjamin Berger shot a 74 (+3) and had an eagle on the par five 510 yard 17th hole.
Trigg Lindahl is tied for 49th at 75 (+4).
Central Oklahoma's Jordan Wilson finished his round with a 68 (-3) and holds a one-shot lead over Central Missouri's Calvin Dillion heading into Friday's second round. Central Oklahoma is the team leader with a total team score of 280 (-4) and holds a 10-shot lead over Central Missouri.
The top four teams in the standings at the conclusion of the regional will advance to the NCAA Men's Golf Championships, May 19 – 23 at PGA National in West Palm Beach, Fla.
Round two starts at 7:30 a.m. on Friday with UMSL scheduled to begin teeing off at 9:30 a.m.
