ST. LOUIS – The University of Missouri-St. Louis women's golf team is in second place with a total team of score of 595 (297-298) after the first day of the UMSL Spring Invitational on Sunday at Norwood Hills Country Club in St. Louis.
The Tritons have three players in the top 10 on the individual leaderboard and were led by
Mayan Covarrubias who shot a 146 (73-73) for the day. She was followed by
Hillary Currier whose tied for fourth place at 147 (72-75) and
Wilma Zanderau is tied for 10th at 149 (75-74).
Alaina Ervin and
Emmy Wahl turned in scores of 154 (78-76) and 156 (77-79) respectively.
UMSL had a second team in the event that was led by
Brooke Inchiostro who shot a 155 (79-76) and was followed by
Hope Williams at 156 (79-77) and
Abigail Ante at 172 (86-86).
Josefin Hansson shot a 76 in her opening round but had to withdraw due to injury.
Grand Valley State's Evelyn Park and Heida Rakel Rafnsdottir are tied for first after 36 holes with a score of 143. Park had rounds of 72 and 71 while Rafnsdottir shot a 68 and 75. GVSU sits atop the team leaderboard with a team score of 582 (289-293).
The final round of the 2026 UMSL Spring Invitational tees off on Monday morning at 9:30 a.m. at Norwood Hills Country Club
