ST. LOUIS – University of Missouri-St. Louis women's basketball junior Mara Rieder added another postseason accolade on Wednesday as she was named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-America® team. She is a second team honoree.

Rieder becomes the 27th Triton student-athlete to earn Academic All-America® honors and is the first from the women's basketball program to bestowed the prestigious accolade. She is the fourth UMSL student-athlete during the 2025-26 school year to earn the distinction joining Taylor Martin (women's soccer) and Sklyar Weaver and Alayna Santel (volleyball).

Rieder is majoring in physical education with a 3.75 grade point average. She put together one of the greatest single seasons in program history this season scoring 585 points and grabbing 302 rebounds while blocking 68 shots. Her rebounds and blocked shots are both second best while her point total is third best in single season in school history. Rieder recorded 17 double-doubles this season which ranked second in the GLVC and 13th in Division II.

In the final Division II statistical rankings, she was ninth in field goals made (238), 10th in blocked shots (68) and blocked shots per game (2.37), 18th in rebounds per game (10.1), 19th in points per game (19.5) and points scored (585), 21st in total rebounds (302), 29th in free throw percentage (85.8 percent) and 32nd in field goal percentage (53.1 percent) and 33rd in field goal attempts (448).

The Tritons finished the 2025-26 season with a program record 25 wins, won the GLVC regular season title and won their first NCAA Tournament contest in program history.
