ST. LOUIS – The season's first set of NCAA Division II Regional rankings came out on Wednesday afternoon, with the University of Missouri-St. Louis softball team listed among those receiving postseason consideration. The Tritons are one of 10 teams on the initial list.
This year, the first regional rankings included teams in alphabetical order only, with actual rankings set to be included in next week's release. Selection Monday comes on May 11 when the 64-team NCAA DII Championship field – eight from each region – will be announced during a selection show at 9 a.m. (CDT) on NCAA.com.
UMSL is looking to make its 11th NCAA Tournament appearance overall, ninth in the last 14 seasons and first under head coach
Chelsey Mulligan.
