Men’s Golf Earns 13th Straight NCAA Tournament Bid

INDIANAPOLIS – With the 2026 NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championships field announcement on Sunday, the University of Missouri-St. Louis men's golf team is set to make the program's 20th postseason trip, including its 13th straight and 14th in the last 15 years.

Under the direction of 18th-year head coach Troy Halterman, the Tritons will be one of 20 teams competing in the Midwest/Central Regional May 7-9 in Big Rapids, Mich., at the Katke Golf Club with Ferris State serving as the host.

The NCAA Division II men's golf championships will consist of both team and individual competition conducted concurrently. There are four regional sites across the country with two regions at each site. 20 teams and eight individuals not with a team will compete in their respective 54-hole tournament.

At a minimum, the top three teams and the top two student-athletes not with a team from each regional will advance to the finals, May 18–22 at the Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder City, Nevada. The remaining eight team berths will be allocated based on the regions represented in the prior year's head-to-head medal play portion of the championships, with the maximum number of teams from a given region capped at seven. The finals will be hosted by the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.

UMSL is led by Logan Mayo who owns a scoring average of 72.91 with four top-five and six top-10 finishes this season. Dani Solavera follows with a scoring average of 73.21 and an event win while Trigg Lindahl has a scoring average of 73.37.
